The Workforce Development Office contracts with local training providers to offer vocational training programs that are specifically designed for WIA. Training programs are generally conducted as cohorts with a start and end date. OneStop staff members assist participants through the entire process which includes eligibility determination, application, orientation, enrollment, skills assessments, job readiness workshops and training. Contact a local OneStop office to find out if you are eligible.
Individual Training Accounts (ITAs)
Job Seekers may be eligible for ITAs if they have received core and intensive services in the OneStop Center and are still unemployed, underemployed or in need of additional skills training. Job seekers are determined to be eligible by the local OneStop Center and referred to a local training provider through an in-depth process. Participants are able to select the training program they would like to participate in subject to the availability of funds and openings. Participants are offered guidance and assistance through each step of the process.
